In January of this year my husband and I went to explore at the Blue Heron Bridge, after seeing many wonderful pictures from this location at the South Florida Underwater Society meetings. This particular location is an inter-coastal dive that can only be safely dove during ‘slack tide’ (30 minutes prior to high tide). During this time the water is very clear at the bridge. This location is know for its odd critters such as batfish, blennies, sea horses and octopus. This location is a great “beach dive”, probably one of the easiest ones in South Florida. Next weekend we are doing a special night dive at this location off of a chartered boat. I am very excited to see what quirky critters we see!
